About the Artwork:

This ornament features a Costa’s Hummingbird nestled among radiant allium blossoms, caught in a moment of gentle stillness. The original artwork, titled Petal Pusher, was created to capture the contrast between bold color and quiet elegance, how the smallest birds can hold the room with a glance.

I was drawn to the vibrant purples and greens of the allium paired with the iridescent shimmer of the Costa’s throat feathers. The design leans into the whimsical geometry of nature, with globes, starbursts, and soft, swirling overlays for the Winter Whimsy Collection. The playful background swirls and berry tones add seasonal charm without overpowering the natural beauty of the scene.
