Reflected Intensity is all about capturing that quiet, yet powerful moment in nature. The eagle owl has always stood out to me as a symbol of wisdom and clarity, but also of that quiet strength we often overlook. This piece really speaks to the balance between being still and showing your true power.
When I created this, I wanted to bring out the energy in the owl's gaze, there’s something so captivating about it, right? That mix of gentleness and strength, of stillness and raw power. I used soft tones to give the owl’s feathers this peaceful, almost ethereal quality, but then I layered in acrylic embellishments to add depth and texture, just to make it feel like the owl is alive, holding a quiet energy that draws you in.
The watercolor paper gives it this wonderful organic feel. It feels natural and real, which is exactly what I wanted. It lets the hand-embellished details pop in a way that makes each print unique. Every brushstroke I add to these prints feels like a moment of connection. It’s about taking a pause, reflecting on the world around us, and finding power in the quiet.
